2026 LENTEN SEASON: DASAL, ARAL, AT PAG-USAD

Ngayong Lenten Season, panahon ito ng pagninilay.

Sa mga credit card defaulters, gamitin natin ang panahon para huminto sandali at magpahinga, at aminin sa mga sarili ang pagkakamali, at matuto sa mga naging desisyon sa paggamit ng credit cards at pera.

Oo, mabigat ang magiging defaulter.

May takot.
May hiya.
May stress.

Pero hindi ito katapusan ng buhay.

Minsan, pinapadaan tayo sa hirap para matutong maging mas maingat, mas matatag, at mas mapagpakumbaba.

Kung wala pang pambayad, huwag munang mag-panic.
Magdasal. Mag-isip. Magbasa. Ayusin ang priorities.
At higit sa lahat, huwag kalimutan ang aral.

Ang utang ay problema lang. Hindi ito ang buong pagkatao mo.

Sa tamang panahon, makakausad ka rin.
Hindi man mabilis, pero unti-unti.
With faith, wisdom, and lesson learned.

Forget the debt, but do not forget the lesson.

  1. I got an email from a credit card collection law office asking for my updated contact number. Actually, my contact number and even my email address which they have is the same. My question is: Shall I make a reply or shall I just disregard it? I have been receiving their calls not from live person but from a pre-recorded one asking me either to make a return call at their given time or have me connect to their waiting staff. I usually opt to make a return call but I did not do it.

    1. Legit po ba yung email nareceived ko April 6, Notice of scheduled property garnishment, which is on April 10 at 3pm, coordination has been made na daw sa brgy under the authority of sherrif Doy Lacorte.

      Pls help me enlighten , unpaid cc last pandemic pa, minsan nagrereply aq sa demand letter thru email,, pero minsan no reply din..
      nag ooverthink na naman aq, stress and anxiety na naman 😞

    2. Hindi po totoo yan, ganyan din ginawa sa akin tumawag sa barangay namin, sabi ko sa barangay nang i-isscam lang yan. Kaya pag may tumatawag sa barangay sinabihan sila na hindi sila nag e-entertain ng tawag lang.

    1. Hello po. Can the bank file for estafa for failure to pay a loan? Legit docs naman po ginamit ko. Just got sick and prioritized other obligations.

    2. 1. failure to pay a loan is like obtaining a housing loan but you failed to pay. bank can sue you for "Sum of Money" or foreclosure of mortgaged property.
      2. estafa is if you obtain a loan and you have a fake identity or fake title which is considered as "fraud"

  6. Metro bank cc defaulter here, tanong ko lang po if may kinasuhan na po ba si MCC na defaulter? Salamat po sa tutugon.

  7. 2021 pa ako defaulter ng Metro nag message ako kay ms.cherrylou that time and sabi nya di naman daw nag file ng case si metrobank..hindi sila nangulit since 2023..ngayon na lang ulit sila naging active

    2. Ako naman since 2020. Na fraud ung platinum card ko ng worth more than 300k nung 2019. Tagal ko na nakipag back and forth email sa Fraud dept ng MB pero at the end of the day pinagbabayad pa din nila ako, inside job feeling ko ngyari since alam lahat ng details ko even my home address and office address nung tumawag. Hinde pa ganon ka talamak ang fraud nung 2019. Don ako nagstart tamarin magbayad sa MB. Bakit ko babayaran ang perang di ko naman ginamit, naireport ko naman agad pero they didn't listen.

  8. Naka experience ako ng sobrang stress halos nitong nakaraan lang, 2 weeks kami na halos inistress ng mga taga RGS collection so nag report ako kay metrobank. Ito reply nila

    Meron ako 10 cc before and now 8 out of 10 na ang settled. BPI & Robinsons bank nalang di ko nsesettle.

    Now my problem is ung EWPL ko. Nagparestructure na ko gawa ng nalyoff ako sa dti kong work. From 11k plus monthly amort. Naging 3710 nalangbdya. Kaso mabgat pdn tlga skn dahil lubog tlaga ko sa mga bayarin ko.

    Kasi from 52k na shod now sa bgong work 26k nlang so talagang mnmaximized ko ang sahod ko. Kaso di talaga kaya. Maforfeit kya restructure ko if ever d ko mabayaran un? Struggling talaga ko. Or ngpfile kaya civil case si EW? Nclosed nga pla checking acct ko since nde sya funded and over the counter ako mgbbyad ng PL ko. So far kng magkano ung amort ko yun lang naman sinisingil sa akin.

  10. Hello po planning po na unti unti mag settle na sa mga pinag kaka uutangan. I have 4 default cc since 2023.safe po ba ung mga collector na nag eemail sakin magbibigay tlaga silang certificate? I have SP madrid for Hsbc, Cendana Credit and Collections for Metrobank yan muna 2 sana. Thank you in advance anytips din po

  11. Hello po. Been an avid reader since pandemic. May 2 MB ccs akong default then recently etong SB ko hinde ko na din kinaya bayaran. Both banks have outstanding balances of 1M each. Now, nagbabasa basa ako regarding IDRP. Pero ang hirap pala kasi macclose din daw lahat ng active mo pang cards kahit wala namang issue sa payment. Hinde ko maafford na maisara ung 4 active ccs ko na plan ko talagang i-keep for life. Asa 40s nako, with 2 kids, breadwinner and have 2 senior parents na sakitin. Would you think waiting for amnesty is a good option since wala din naman akong pambayad pa sa utang. Nakailang house vist na din na din SP Madrid sa bahay pero wala na kami sa Manila asa probinsya na kami, nagbilin nalang ako sa kapitbahay na wag tatanggap ng letter from them. Ang active nga pala ni Metrobank maningil, parang bumangon sa hukay ang mga CAs nila pero minsan sa kanila talaga galing email. Appreciate any advice.

  12. I have a delinquent credit card with Metrobank. Metrobank collections internal team offered me an amnesty or big discount but di ko agad nakita email nila, kaya nung mabasa ko tapos na offer period. I replied na gusto ko iavail ang offer kahit expired na. Few days bago sila nag reply pero this time si collectio agency na and inextend nila offer. Question - should I deal with collections agency ba or sa internal collection department nila?
